Filmmaking
Through my Bachelor of Arts degree in which I majored in Film and Screen Production, I had the privilage to work with some fantastically creative individuals on vastly diverse but equally artistic projects. With the skills I developed through my degree I worked on my own independant projects.
Take a look at some of them here!
The Vinyl Revival (2023)
Producer
The Vinyl Revival is a short documentary directed by Rob Harris exploring the enduring appeal of vinyl and its continued relevance in modern music. Through interviews with two local experts, the documentary examines the format’s resurgence and why, despite the rise of digital music, vinyl continues to hold a beloved place within music culture.
As producer, I was responsible for coordinating the production and working closely with the director to bring the documentary into fruition. This involved organising interviews, coordinating locations and production logistics, and supporting the overall development of the film.
Shattered (2025)
Production Designer
Shattered is a short drama film written and directed by Tahlia Davis. The film follows teenager Frankie on a tumultuous night in his suburban home. It was made as part of the Advanced Drama unit for the Film and Screen Production program at The University of Notre Dame.
As Production Designer, I was responsible for dressing and transforming an entire house to reflect the director’s envisioned layout and atmosphere. This involved sourcing and arranging set dressing and props, as well as creating practical effects including fake glass and damaged props used throughout the film.
Shattered is currently screening at the Rock the Boat Film Festival and The Swan Perth International Women in Film Festival. It will be available to view following the festival run.
Solastalgia (2025)
Writer, Director + Production Designer
Solastalgia is a short psychological eco-thriller, created for a 72 Hour Film Challenge run by the Screen Club at The University of Notre Dame Australia.
The story was written, filmed, and edited within 72 hours based on prompts revealed at the beginning of the challenge, with no prior planning. The film had to include the dialogue “I have to try,” delivered with brevity, contain the theme of hope, feature a mysterious cardboard box that could not be opened neither in the film nor production, and run for exactly 5 minutes including credits.
The story follows Sophia as she returns to her childhood home, and is confronted by echoes of her past that’s she’s long avoided. As the space around her grows more unsettling, she is forced to reckon with the pain of her childhood, and ultimately find peace.
